Absolutely! All RAD Computers, whether brand new custom PCs or RAD RePCs can have their warranty extended up to a total of 5 Years.

The cost of the extended warranty is dependent on the computer being purchased, and is sold in 1-year increments.

All brand new RAD Computers come with a 2-Year Parts, 1-Year labor warranty.

All RAD RePCs come with a 1-Year Parts, 1-Year labor warranty.

Extending the warranty is 10% the cost of the computer, per year. For example, if we sell a $500 RePC Laptop which comes with a 1-Year Parts, 1-Year Labor warranty, an additional year is $50, two additional years is $100, three additional years is $150, 4 additional years is $200.

Warranty extension can be purchased with the computer or any time before the expiration of the original warranty. Simply call us at any time to add additional warranty to your purchase.

Maybe! We will consider a trade-in if ALL of the following conditions are met:

• The computer must be in working condition. It needs to at least boot to the BIOS and one of our PreBoot environments so we know the CPU is working
• The RAM must be of the last or current generation of DDR RAM. Currently, we’re on DDR5, so we will only consider a trade-in if the computer is running DDR4 or newer.
• The CPU is a mid-range or higher (Intel i5 / i7 / i9 – AMD Ryzen 5 / 7 / 9)
• The computer should be relatively well cared for. If it looks like it was run over by a truck, for example, we probably won’t accept it.

Trade-In values vary from computer to computer. We will always offer LESS than what we appraise the computer at, because we’re a business and we need to make money for the effort we’ll be putting into your system to resell it.

If you’re not sure if your computer qualifies for a trade-in, call us! We’re happy to answer any questions you may have. Appraisals are free, and if you know what it’s worth but would rather sell it, at least you’ll know what an acceptable price would be!

All RAD Computer sales include a FREE DATA TRANSFER or CLONE (~$200 value), regardless of whether we build you a brand new computer or you purchase a RAD RePC.

Great question! If you’ve found an identical manufactured machine (like a laptop) elsewhere, there’s a few reasons why our price might be higher:

• As part of our commitment to data privacy and preservation, RAD Computers only uses brand new, high quality SSDs in every system. We use brands like Samsung and Western Digital, and the drives are brand new, even if the system we’re selling is a RePC (Refurbished). We do this to prevent data from falling into the hands of people that shouldn’t have it. We also do this to prevent a data storage device from failing prematurely. Because we purchase brand new drives for every system we resell, our cost is a bit higher.
• Where most resellers on Amazon, eBay, and similar “marketplace” sites typically provide a 30- to 90-day warranty, RAD Computers provides a full 1-year warranty on any computer we have refurbished ourselves. Every computer we resell goes through rigorous inspection, cleaning, and stress testing to ensure it’s operating at 100% efficiency. When you get a RAD Computer, you’re assured to get a computer that’s Resourceful, Affordable.
• Data transfer from your previous device to your new one is included with every computer purchased from RAD Computers.
• We install and configure your software for you, simply bring it in or tell us what to download.
• Every computer purchased from RAD Computers comes with a starter set of software designed to minimize the amount of work you need to do before being able to enjoy your computer to the fullest.

We may be a little higher, but the difference should never be SHOCKINGLY different. If it is, please let us know and we’ll do our best to meet your needs!
